Friday with the Mets, Seventh-inning stretch, 1-up

20,353 is the attendance.

Sheffield is at the plate. I've never been so transfized on a hitter in this park.

Sheff struck out at the hand of Mike Macdougal.

Sheff swings like a real baseball player. I heard someone refer to Mark McGuire's swing as a "ta-da" motion, where it's just a boom from his front arm, and his back arm doesn't even carry through the swing. Sheff swings like a ballplayer-everything's in the motion. He reminds me of Reggie Jackson.

Seventh inning stretch time.

Replaced Praying Martis with Jason Bergmann, Ron Villone, then Mike Macdougal. that's alot of pitchers for an inning, but the Metties didn't score! Crazy!

This is a game. This is what baseball feels like; it's all coming back, if only for the evening.
